HostWorks Clients Not Vulnerable to Heartbleed Bug

No doubt you’ve recently heard about the “Heartbleed bug” in the mainstream media and had concern regarding its exposure in your daily live. Well in the case of this vulnerability it is serious as it affects 2/3rds of the ecommerce websites on the web. This is due to the fact that these sites utilized a form of SSL security certificate called OpenSSL which is an “open source” format. Disclosed a couple of days ago, the Heartbleed bug sent these sites into a patch mode that is still ongoing.

HostWorks is pleased to say that it has always installed commercial-grade and trusted SSL certificates from either Network Solutions, Verisign or GoDaddy on behalf of our clients. Because of this step, none of HostWorks’ procured and installed SSL clients were vulnerable to this attack and your data was never at risk.

This is yet another reason that HostWorks’ supported platforms are engineered and supported to meet the commercial-grade needs of our customers.

Talk to a HostWorks representative today to explore more of our commercial-grade products such as our SiteWorks™ CMS family and our Managed Hosting Services including our Managed WordPress/Drupal Hosting packages. Talk to us now at sales@hostworks.com or 303-539-1839 x 4.
